You can either call your alarm company to replace your backup battery for you or you can do it your self. It depends upon what security system model you have. If its the regular type of system then the 2 most common size of alarm batteries are 12volt 4ah and 12volt 7ah. You can use either but the 7ah will provide you with more backup battery time in a power outage. If you system is a self contained system then you will have to check your user manual or call your alarm company and they should be able to tell you which battery you need.
