Two million mites are said to infect the average home. These mites can double their population within 10 hours and can add 30 million pieces of feces to a home per day. Dust mites are small enough to become airborne and breathed into the lunges causing immune system deficiencies. The weight of a two-year-old pillow consists of one-tenth dust mite feces and remains. Just imagine the filth lurking in carpeted areas.
