1. THE SKYLIGHT IS DELIVERED IN ONE PACKAGE WITH FLASHING FOR FLAT ROOFING MATERIALS (MOST POPULAR SIZES) 
By providing a special frame and installation system Fakro was able to insert flashing for the skylights in the same box. This feature saves space in the store and prevents users from buying or delivering the wrong flashing. One sku# two items – lower shipping cost and less space for storage.
2. TEMPLATE IS PROVIDED FOR EASY AND EXACT ROOF OPENING 
Every skylight has own template in order to cut an exact roof opening and provide the right dimensions for the skylight’s gasket to be settled on the roof deck.
3. NO BRACKETS – THICKER FRAME 
Specially designed with a thicker frame allows for an easy installation process while eliminating brackets. Installer saves time during installation – 6 screws are needed (included) to fasten skylight through 6 predrilled holes.
4. GASKET BUILT ON THE WOODEN FRAME 
Our skylights are insulated at the joints between the frame and the roof surface. This is achieved by partially inserting the skylight inside the roof opening and connecting the pre-installed perimeter gasket to the skylight’s thick frame. Thermal bridges are minimized and the gasket eliminates cost and time since it is already sealed between the frame and roof deck. Gasket on the frame is located on the bottom of the wooden frame, which seals the unit to the roof deck during the installation process. This gasket protects against leaks and outside condensation. As an additional feature which protects against outside condensation (in some cases it may be very severe) we have eliminated all metal elements on the outside of the skylight including screws and nails
5. BETTER SIZING ELIMINATES NEED FOR ADDITIONAL DRYWALL SUPPORT 
Our frame always has a drive for drywall beside construction of the roof – no need to build extra support for finishing drywall (4 × 4 skylight saves about 2 hours of the labor). Our skylights give more light – wider glass.
6. EXTRA PROTECTION AGAINST CONDENSATION (NO DRIPPING ON THE DRYWALL) 
Special internal gasket system eliminates dripping condensation water on the drywall around the frame.
7. WARMER LOW PROFILE WINDOW WITH A BETTER INSULATION SYSTEM, WHICH LOWERS YOUR UTILITY BILL

Snow guards mounted on a high seam will cease to be effective once the snow and ice compacts on the panel and becomes lower than the guard. 
 
Construction: Clear polycarbonate snow guards are popular because they are virtually invisible and will not create corrosive galvanic reactions caused by dissimilar metals exposed to outdoor elements. Because all plastics do not maintain the same characteristics when exposed to various weather conditions, the consumer should only consider using a product made from a virgin grade, UV stabilized, prime polycarbonate material. 
 
Attachment: On screw down panels, popular with many self-storage facilities, the installer has the choice of adhesive or mechanical snow guard attachment. On standing seam floating panels, adhesive mounting is the preferred method of attachment for pad style snow guards because it does not restrict the natural thermal expansion and contraction process of floating metal roof panels. In the event of severe snow drifting conditions, adhesive attachment also provides a release feature that eliminates the possibility of panel damage. 
 
Spacing: Snow guards should always be installed in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations!
