Duo-Temp (Niagara) Ltd

Founded in 1946 by J. Budney who left Hayes Dana to found a local home improvement company. Located for 11 years at 16 Ormond street in Thorold, Ontario. Manufactured and distributed storm windows and doors, siding, aluminum awnings, enclosures and other home renovation products. In 1960 moved to their present location at 105 Merritt Street, St. Catharines. In 1973 they began the assembly of thermopane windows. In 1976 they expanded operations and added a new warehouse addition. In 1977 they began the manufacture of 1 1/4” and 2” aluminum storm doors. The company employs approximately 30 people in office, sales, assembly and installation functions. Still owned today by original family members.
