Etobicoke Kitchen Reno by Allyn Construction
The project’s goal was to create a larger and open concept kitchen. To get a bigger area, a front addition to house was built on part of the existing porch. To create the open concept, the corner of 2 walls (6’ x 6’) was removed. That way the access to living/dining room was created from kitchen. To meet the building code, new beams (supporting ceiling joists after removal of walls) were installed. The ends of the beams worked as a counter-lever. There was no post installed to support their ends.
This new kitchen is a warm and inviting space that will welcome home chefs and guests alike for many years. Beautiful kitchen cabinets, appliances, floor, lighting and painting create a nice atmosphere. With ample room, lots of prep and cooking areas as well as storage, the kitchen is both functional and a lovely area to spend time in for the whole family. Lots of natural light as well as ceiling pot lights create a soothing ambiance that perfectly complements the red woods in the cabinetry and flooring and the counter tops are timeless. A genuine classic.
