Along with updating the kitchen, the rest of the first floor was made to match the new kitchen. It’s the prefinished hardwood floor that really ties the main floor together. The contemporary look is what the homeowners were after, along with the improved functionality of the first floor as a whole.
In the kitchen, the addition of the eating peninsula allowed for a cleaner transition from the open kitchen to the adjacent eating area. Fresh paint, finishes and trim enliven and allows for some existing components to be kept and other new elements include: improved lighting, granite counters and Kitchen Aid appliances.
