Plant Pot

Plant Pot
from Vitamin

The Brits always know how to take a cheeky approach to just about everything, so it’s no surprise that Vitamin Living, a well-known British company, has given even the ubiquitous house plant a shot in the ribs. The I.V. Plant Pot, composed of lightweight fiberglass, literally has an I.V. bag sticking out of it, causing houseguests to take a second glance and helping plant lovers determine when, and how much, to watser. A fun design, but it’s no joke, and particularly for anyome who’s ever killed a house plant, this drip may be just the thing you need. Visit the website for details.

Basement Sub Floor
I have collected a number of I Beams that I would like to turn on their side and use as a base for my sub-floor in the basement. I would lay down the beams so that there would be a space the same width as the beams between each beam laid down. I would then put a 5/8ths tongue and groove osb board on top. My Question is should I put a plastic barrier down first or don't worry about it? Also, I was going to use a PL 400 glue to secure the beams to the cement. My basement has never leaked water and was built in 1998. What is the best way to prepare the I beams and secure them to the floor? Read the answer »
