These photos show the removal of an old aluminum frame window in preparation for the installation of a new double-pane energy-efficient window. You can also see the crew members installing a new vinyl-frame energy-efficient window.

Once the windows are in place and installed, air sealing around new energy-efficient windows is an important way to improve overall window performance. This procedure also reduces drafts that are commonly found around window frames. It is important to have energy-efficient products in the home, but if they are not properly installed and sealed, a large portion of their effectiveness will be lost.

The new energy efficient windows are inspected.
