Mission accomplished. With some new wood and a fresh coat of paint, the first view visitors get of the home is now deserving of its location.
The bay windows at the north end of the home bring in lots of light, giving the family a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the newspaper. The fireplaces (seen on the left wall) were part of the restoration as well.
New beams were necessary, with posts going down all the way to the basement on new footings, to ensure structural integrity. The trim and baseboard was also restored, using many of the original materials.
