Several walls throughout the first floor chopped up the space, creating small nooks and crannies that gathered clutter and didn’t speak to the homeowners’ larger vision of the home. The front entranceway consisted of only a small room in which to remove shoes.

Removing the wall that blocked the light from entering via the front door, as well as adding tiled flooring to the entryway, created a far more welcoming scene for visitors. Tiled flooring, Olympia Tile.

The living area on the first floor was disorganized and small, not allowing for the dinner parties the homeowners would like to have. Taking down the walls of this room and opening it up toward the kitchen solved that problem.

The wall with a peek-though into the kitchen, along with the gorgeous marble fireplace and mantel, which was moved to the opposite wall along with the portrait of the homeowner that was framed above. A new hardwood floor, installed throughout the first level, adds a rich tone, while the neutral paint on the walls provides an ideal canvas for the décor. Flooring, Amcan Hardwood Floors.
