Living Room
The living area features floating shelves and hidden equipment storage for the home theatre, allowing the small space to function as a larger room. The original natural cedar ceilings were retained to round out the natural feel of the spaces. Strategically placed accent walls, lighter trim and natural cherry and slate floors complete that feeling.
Living Room Before

Keeping with the criteria to utilize as much natural or reclaimed material as possible, the bar top and floating shelves were reclaimed from an old and leaking traditional Japanese soaker tub.
Living Room After

Kitchen
Originally very closed off, lacking the feel of a larger space, the kitchen opened into the dining and bar area, where the high ceilings are complemented with windows and doors with transoms windows above.

Kitchen After
Twenty-year-old kitchen cabinets were removed from a galley-style kitchen in a condo, and reworked into its current configuration without using any new facing materials. Sleek high-gloss cabinets, natural slate counters, and cook-top backsplash, strategic halogen lighting and a seating area that looks into the kitchen, this space was created for functional living as well as style.

Dining Room After
The double French doors that open out onto the deck are effective at almost doubling the social area of the home.
