Dramatic colours and golden details define this 9,000-square-foot home for a young family of five. Designers at the Hemel Group made the owners’ wishes for large entertainment spaces a priority, creating a multi-purpose kitchen that welcomes cooks and snackers alike, alongside an integrated family room. The master en-suite is the height of luxury, complete with sink-in tub, his and her walk-in closets and even separate vanities that would suit the most glamourous of stars. By taking into consideration the family’s needs, the designers created a home that would grow with the family.
Layers of materials and textures create a rich, elegant look in each of the rooms. In the kitchen, the cabinetry, counters and walls were all treated to the same deep-toned palette, allowing the backsplash and hood to form a focal point and create what the builder terms “the wow factor.”
