Kitchen Magic presents a complete tear-down and remodel of a 1950s kitchen and family room that has well passed its prime. The homeowners felt that the room’s space was not being used to its full potential. They sought a state-of-the-art design and all new materials. To achieve these goals, we enlarged the kitchen by using space from the old laundry room. Then, we needed to marry the new space with the adjacent family room. New cabinets and shelving in cherry, countertops in granite, ceramic tile flooring and all new appliances accomplished this mission.

The counter area on the adjacent side of the kitchen wasn’t used much, and besides, its cabinet space simply housed the microwave and toaster oven. The homeowners desired dimensional cabinetry with exterior and interior lighting that will give this space brilliance and character. They also wanted an additional place for their guests to gather.
