The Design Process
About six months ago, designers from BiglarKinyan Design Partnership Inc. were asked to re-design the kitchen space for a client that was tired and annoyed with their existing space.
In the consultation and meetings that followed, the designers asked many questions about their client's likes and dislikes, about their lifestyle, and about budgetary requirements. After thorough analysis of the clients needs, preferences, and the characteristics of the space, the designers suggested removing the partitioned wall in order to integrate the two areas, as well as to minimize the distance that the owners had to travel. This also allowed for the integration of the kitchen/dinette area with the sunken family room to bring together different family activities.

After confirming the design direction with the owners, the designers created detailed drawings and 3D renderings so that the owners could better understand the layout and the design of their new dream kitchen. Previewing the design with 3D renderings is a sure way to confirm that the completed space is exactly what you want.
