Whispering Pines "Chandel Air"
The Chandel-AirTM, which won the HFN 2009 Lighting Award of Excellence, is a customizable lighting fixture that integrates a fan mechanism, which can be produced in nearly any design in the Meyda library or any custom design imaginable. Designed as an energy saver, the Chandel AirTM can be used to pull hot air up and keep the space cool in the summer, and reversed in the winter to push down hot air and maintain warmth.
The handcrafted Whispering Pines “Chandel Air” (pictured) features an Amber Mica shade transformed into a decorative /functional casement for a fan. Meyda’s Whispering Pines design circles the outside of this stunning pendant/fan fixture, with reverse repeats of the design on the shade’s interior and features “Barkarized” pinecones and pine branches. With a diameter of 44 inches and a height of 35 inches, the fixture can be adjusted to accommodate flat or vaulted ceilings of any pitch or height. It operates with a two-circuit remote control with three-speed fan control and dimming capabilities.
