DexSystems Inc. manufacturers and distributes an Outdoor Floor System for exterior decks and rooftop terraces: GratedeX and PierdeX.
Both flooring systems consist of modular components along with fasteners, connectors and adhesives. They provide a more durable method for placing thin gauged stone or tile in an exterior flooring application without the use of cement based mortars, grouts or adhesives. This technology creates a light-weight stone floor over traditional joist framing or a waterproof roof top. These flooring systems also support the placement of modular pavers in a dry-laid installation method without a mud set or sand bed. Use in all weather conditions and all temperatures for maximum durability and beauty.
GratedeX www.gratedex.com Outdoor Floor System for elevated decking applications where traditional decking materials would be used. It’s a light-weight system so no structural modifications are required. This flooring system is placed directly over the joist framing, and secured with Bite-Tite stainless steel fasteners. Thin gauged stone or tile is bonded with Hold-Tite adhesive. Open joints allow water to drain through as with traditional decking.
PierdeX www.pierdex.com Outdoor Floor System for rooftop decking applications where heavy-weight concrete surfaces or other sheet or liquid surfaces may be used. It’s a light-weight system so no structural modifications are required. This flooring system is placed directly over the waterproofing, and is secured corner-to-corner with Ped-Tite pedestal connectors. Thin gauged stone or tile is bonded with Hold-Tite adhesive within the panel perimeter. This allows each panel to be removed for future access to the waterproofing. Open joints allow water to drain through to the surface below. NOTE: The GratedeX system can be used in this same application as a floating floor.
