The Johnson Paint Company, started in 1939 by John A. Johnson the summer after his graduation from Harvard University, totaled $2.57 in sales at its then not – so – fashionable Newbury Street location. Since then, Johnson Paint has evolved into a third generation business, still at its original Newbury Street address, now the Rodeo Drive of the east.
