Sliding window repair in storm door.

Hello,

We have a storm door that has lovely etched glass on the sides, and a sliding window/screen in the center. The latch which holds the window up/down has broken and is now floating inside the door. We cannot close the window and would really like to get this repaired. What are our options?

  I'm not a Pro but I have the same problem and have spent a long time searching for a solution. I had bought a special order National 3-Lite storm door from Rona and they advised that National's solution was for me to buy a new sash window for about $150 (nearly 1/3 of the price of the whole door excluding installation).
  Today, I have finally found a website that can sell the parts for what appears to be a relatively easy DIY repair. The site is http://www.allglassparts.com/product/404838/400170. The the product is called a Sash Replacement Assembly, by AluminArt.
  I'm going to try it and I hope this note is of interest/help to you.
