bathroom Black & white tiles

I'm building a bathroom 9x8 with a 5x4 glass enclosed shower with 4x4 black & white tiles done with a diamond pattern. Also the walls outside of the shower will be done in the same tile and pattern from floor up to 3 1/2 ft high. My question is should i do the floor solid black or should i continued the pattern with larger tiles (12x12).

  This response is probably too late but just in case your project has been delayed... I would recommend keeping the floor white with perhaps a black border inset about 8-12" from the walls. A black floor will be very difficult to keep clean. You could use 1" x 1" mosaic tiles that come in 12" x 12" sheets. This will give you a classic/retro look that won't "fight" with your bold black & white diamond wall design. Your bathroom will look very dramatic - Good luck!
