Amazing Addition

The impressive vaulted turret ceiling of the stunning new addition is the highlight of this exterior renovation. A covered porch was also constructed which integrates from the original structure and runs from front of the home, wrapping to the side and extends to the back of the addition.
The new build melds seamlessly into the existing house yet adds an element of grandeur. Striking when observed from outside, it’s the interior view of the vaulted turret ceiling, comprised of 16 windows and six skylights that truly impresses. Bringing in a plethora of light via the arcade of windows, the sun laden room feels expansive and bright, promoting an atmosphere of wellness and vigor – perfect for its use as an exercise studio. The dramatic solution was two-fold; more practically, it also assures that the kitchen, from which the addition is built off of, remains bright as well. A pass through window also assists in retaining light, as well as connectivity between the rooms.

replacing fluorescent light
I would like to take down a fluorescent light and replace it with a normal light, hanging light. The problem is in the fluorescent fitting -- it is a junction box, not round oblong. Should I fit a ceiling rose or junction box? There are two cables wired in junction/box, one cable in to light l.n.earth. Read the answer »
