English Pub Meets Yaletown Loft

This traditional home with a contemporary twist had very specific goals for its basement renovation. One of the homeowners is a craft beer maker and needed a kitchen that could accommodate extensive equipment. Beer making must be absolutely sanitary and stainless steel countertops with integral sink and small covered splash would meet this requirement. The stainless steel provides a contemporary element that would need to co-exist with the desired rec area; a space to relax in and entertain friends, that housed the existing pool table, a new 52" LED LCD television and a games table area. The “man cave” with an English pub meets Yaletown aesthetic is what the designer proposed and this basement reno is a perfect recreation of that concept.
