Low water pressure

Hi, We have low water pressure in our home. It's not bad until two fixtures are running at the same time. It is a 950 sq. ft. home. On the main floor- Bathroom(tub/shower, toilet and sink) and Kitchen(sink). In the basement we have a toilet, laundry tub and washer/dryer and also a tap for the outside of the house. We have a 3/4 line coming to our property line but do not really want to dig up the lawn (and all that good stuff) to complete 3/4 service to inside of house. I am considering increasing the water pressure with a booster pump such as a Grundfos MQ3-35 Smart Booster Pump. 3/4HP, 115V. (locate in laundry room) Do you have any advice to offer as far as pros and cons? Would you recommend something like this? They say this product will raise water pressure 50 psi Read our expert's answer »

PLUMBING ISSUES

I have one toilet in my home that never flushes properly; all of the water doesn't empty but it fills up and there is still tissue and matter floating although it will flush when a pail of water is dumped down it while flushing. There is lots of water pressure though. Also, my dishwasher doesn't pump out all the dirty water and just keeps washing with the dirty water and the jet spinners don't turn after a few uses. I unhook the drain and hook it back up and it will work for a while and then goes back into it's usual not washing and pumping out properly mode. I think these two problems with the toilet and the dishwasher may be related. What do you think? Do i need a plumber? Read our expert's answer »
